Description

This is a sources sought announcement for a Life Transition Coach.



This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Life Connection Program Life Transition Coach for inmates at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Terre Haute, Indiana. The NAICS Code is 813110 (Size Standard: $8.0 million). All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State policies and regulations. The Life Connection Program Transition Coach will be knowledgeable of program goals, scheduling and will work with the Life Connections Program Chaplain and staff.



The Life Connection Program Transition Coach will develop lesson plans using the LCP curriculum for a diverse group of religions, present and lead study groups and educational classes on topics including, but not limited to: Preparing for the Life Connections Program goal setting, resume building and job skills, successful reentry into society, and graduate aftercare.



The Transition Coach will provide guidance and counsel with regard to student preparation for transition from the LCP and eventual release.



The Transition Coach will assist the Program Chaplain by coordinating and tracking use of print and audio-visual resources for LCP staff, contractors and students.



The Transition Coach will assist the Program Chaplain with coordinating community service projects and seminars/workshops.



Due to the nature and physical setting of the position, contractor must be able to stand/walk for extended period of time and walk up and down stairs several times each day.



A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Sam website at http://www.sam.gov/.
