Description

The Class Limited Justification and Approval for the DoD ESI stated that, SAP Public Services is the sole owner/author of its Intellectual Property (IP) inclusive of its software source code and maintenance. This makes SAP the only company who can provide software maintenance support for the required software. Software maintenance is necessary to provide the patches, updates, and hotfixes necessary to sustain SAP products running on Federal and DoD networks.



In addition, market research indicated that there was a Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) N66001-19-A-0010, noting that Carahsoft Technology is the only vendor that currently has an established Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the SQL Anywhere Workgroup Edition Server License, in the DoD ESI group.
